Konstytucji Sq. is though of as transportation knot more often than as a worthwhile urban square. Our project opens space for pedestrians at the expense of condensing traffic in one tract. Spatial re-arrangement is done on the ground 0 level so that it does not affect the monumental scale soc-realism of the surrounding.
Dynamic roof - form of which bears reference to the forms of Argentinian sculp[turer Jorge Oteiza - is meant to perform as an optical barier dividing the street from pedestrian space. The roof attracts visually and simultaneously is the square's functional backbone as a new central arcade comprising bus stops, scales to levels below the ground and elevators. In the central part of the square is the main entrance to the mall below the ground in form of amphitheater.
